CAMELINA-BASED BIOTECHNOLOGY

As one of our core values, environmental sustainability drives us to develop new agricultural biotechnology practices that improve crop performance. Our three-pronged approach consisting of discovery, testing, and scale-up, enables us to utilize Camelina as a platform crop to produce fuel, food, and PHA bioplastic in an effort to address global food security, climate change, and sustainability.

OUR THREE-PRONGED APPROACH

Discovery icoFast Field Test model to develop improved crop varieties iconFast Field Test model to develop improved crop varieties icon

We have integrated advanced metabolic flux modeling capabilities with transcriptome network analysis to form the foundation of our Gene Ranking Artificial Intelligence Network (GRAIN), a big data mining gene discovery platform that stands at the core of our Trait Factory.

To transform crop science discovery into value-generating traits, we established the Fast Field Test model, which allows us to characterize, evaluate, and de-risk novel trait genes while simultaneously developing improved varieties for the production of proprietary products.

As our traits progress in development, we scale up planting for multi-acre production of seed. This seed can be used for further scale-up and can be crushed to produce meal, oil, and PHA bioplastic for sampling to potential customers seeking sustainable product solutions.
